Situated at 1000ft above sea level Whinlatter Forest Park and Forest Classroom offer a unique mountain learning experience.
Whinlatter Classroom is within 1 hour by coach of much of the Lake District National Park ,Ambleside, Kendal, Windermere,Penrith and Carlisle and within half an hour of Workington and Whitehaven.
In addition to providing a full range of Ranger Led Activities within the Forest Park the education service in partnership with the Youth Hostel Association offer all the activities to groups staying at either of the two YHA's in the Ennerdale Valley.
